Talking about Haaland, Ibsen says last season’s top points-scorer was in his squad almost all the time. Even though the Manchester City striker is the most expensive FPL asset ever at £15.5m, Ibsen still plans to include him.
“There’s nobody like Haaland,” Ibsen explains. “He’s costly, but you can still build a strong squad around him because so many other players are affordable. I don’t need to give up much—Haaland, Florian Wirtz, Dominik Szoboszlai, Joao Pedro, plus a reliable goalkeeper and solid defence is achievable.”
“He also makes things simple: if you’re unsure about the captaincy, you can always hand it to him. He’s a great asset to own.”
