Champions League 2026-27:…

Seven league-phase places for the 2026-27 Champions League are still to be decided, but the other 29 clubs are set. Most of those 29 also already know their seeding pot.

Each of the first two pots has nine confirmed teams.

Pot one features Premier League sides Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal, alongside back-to-back Champions League winners Paris St-Germain, plus Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.

Aston Villa and Manchester United return to the Champions League this season after missing out last term. They are in pot two with Borussia Dortmund, Roma, Sporting, Porto, Club Brugge, Real Betis and PSV Eindhoven.

With the remaining places split between pots three and four, some clubs still face uncertainty over their final seeding.

Feyenoord, Lille, Napoli, RB Leipzig, Villarreal, Shakhtar Donetsk and Galatasaray are all guaranteed to be in pot three.

The winner of the play-off tie between Fenerbahce and Lyon will also go into pot three.

VfB Stuttgart, Como and Lens are assured of pot four. The winners of Levski Sofia v AEK Athens, Slovan Bratislava v Celje, and Hapoel Be’er Sheva v Sabah will join them there.

The final four places are being decided across the ties NEC Nijmegen v Bodo/Glimt, Dinamo Zagreb v Viking, Celtic v LASK, along with Slavia Prague’s outcome.

If Bodo/Glimt beat NEC Nijmegen, they will claim the last remaining spot in pot three. In that scenario, Slavia Prague and the winners of the other two qualifiers would all be in pot four.

If NEC Nijmegen win, Dinamo Zagreb would own the next-best club coefficient. For Zagreb to reach pot three, they must defeat Viking and see Bodo/Glimt lose.

Celtic and Slavia Prague are tied on both their five-year and last season’s coefficients, but Celtic earned more points in 2024-25. If Celtic beat LASK and both Bodo/Glimt and Dinamo Zagreb lose, Celtic will take the final pot-three place.

If Bodo/Glimt, Dinamo Zagreb and Celtic all lose, the final pot-four berth will go to Slavia Prague.
