Nottingham Forest
have reached an agreement, worth at least £22m, to sign Daniel Munoz from
Crystal Palace
.
The Colombia international has been granted permission to undergo a medical ahead of completing his move to Forest.
The transfer would reunite Munoz with Forest manager Oliver Glasner, who previously worked with the full-back during his stint at Selhurst Park.
Negotiations have been in progress for several days and picked up pace after Palace’s 4-1 defeat by Manchester City on Friday.
Munoz arrived at Palace from Belgian club Genk in 2024 and has been a pivotal figure for the Eagles in recent seasons, playing a major role in the team’s historic FA Cup and Europa Conference League successes under Glasner.
The 30-year-old has just under two years remaining on his contract, and Palace are willing to sanction a sale this summer.
Earlier this summer, Palace signed Anan Khalaili from Belgian side Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, and the Israel international is expected to step into Munoz’s role in Pierre Sage’s side.
Munoz has made 109 appearances for Palace, scoring 11 times. He featured in their opening 2-0 Premier League defeat at Everton, but was an unused substitute against City.
Forest have also submitted an ambitious proposal — £40m plus a potential sell-on clause — to sign Everton’s teenage midfielder Harrison Armstrong.
