A product of Leicester City’s academy, Monga broke into the first team at just 15 during the 2024-25 season.
He made 30 Championship appearances for the Foxes last term before signing a five-year contract with Manchester City earlier this summer.
While at Leicester, he became the youngest scorer in Championship history after netting against Preston North End in August last year.
After completing the transfer, City director of football Hugo Viana praised the teenager as an exciting talent and said he has already made significant progress early in his career.
The England Under-19 international will now spend the remainder of this season on loan with Vitor Matos’ side.

Walta first joined on loan from Swedish club Sirius in February, a move Swansea made permanent earlier this summer.
So far this season, his only league outing was a late appearance in Swansea’s opening-day win at Stoke City, and he also featured off the bench in their EFL Cup defeat to Birmingham City.
The 23-year-old made 10 league appearances for Swansea late in the 2025-26 campaign and scored his only goal for the club in a 3-1 victory over Charlton Athletic on the final day.
Walta now links up with a Los Angeles side currently third in the MLS Eastern Conference.
