Brighton have completed the signing of Nigerian winger Femi Azeez from Millwall for £12.5m, a fee that could exceed £15m with add-ons.
Azeez joins on a four-year deal, becoming Brighton’s 11th arrival of the summer, following their club-record £45m move for Tottenham centre-back Luka Vuskovic.
The 25-year-old registered 11 goals and eight assists in 37 appearances last season and earned a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Year.
Azeez had been pushing for a Premier League switch, with Millwall rejecting at least three bids from Brighton in recent weeks.
The transfer is a record sale for Millwall.
Brighton said a deal sheet was filed before Tuesday’s 23:00 BST deadline, and the move was finalized before the extended 01:00 cut-off on Wednesday.
Azeez had joined Millwall from Reading for around £1m in 2024 and leaves The Den with two years remaining on his contract.
Brighton also secured defensive midfielder Chema Andres from Stuttgart for £15.5m on deadline day.
Andres, 21, signed a five-year contract after the Seagulls reached an agreement with the Bundesliga club.
The Spain Under-21 international made 41 appearances for Stuttgart last season, having arrived from Real Madrid in 2025.
Andres came through Real Madrid’s academy and made his La Liga debut in January 2025.
He helped Stuttgart qualify for the Champions League during his sole season there.
Brighton funded much of their business through major sales, including Carlos Baleba’s £70m move to Manchester United.
