Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala has made significant progress in his recovery from a broken leg by returning to grass training for the first time in over three months.
Musiala suffered a fractured fibula and a dislocated ankle during the Club World Cup quarterfinal against Paris Saint-Germain in July. He has recently resumed outdoor training sessions at the club’s performance center.
The 22-year-old participated in light running and coordination drills with fitness coach Simon Martinello.

“It was a significant step for me,” the Germany international shared with Bayern’s official website. “Being back on the pitch felt amazing, and my foot is doing well.”
“I’ve progressed from my first jump a few weeks back to running on the Alter-G treadmill, and now I’m back on the pitch. I think I’m making progress every week.”
Musiala has not been given a specific timeline for his return, as he aims to be fully fit and ready to contribute when he wears the Bayern shirt again.
“It’s a step-by-step process, and I don’t want to rush things,” he emphasized. “When I return, I want to be at 100 percent and at my best level, which is why we’re taking our time.”
Despite Musiala’s absence, Bayern has had a stellar start to the season, winning all 12 matches and leading both the Bundesliga and Champions League standings.
