Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal has stirred controversy ahead of Sunday’s Clásico by accusing Real Madrid of both “robbing and complaining.”
This weekend, Barça will face off against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu, a match that features LaLiga’s top two teams, with Madrid currently leading by two points after nine matches.
In the lead-up to the match, Yamal featured on the Kings League YouTube channel, a competition created by former Barça defender Gerard Piqué, who has recently taken over as president of his own team, La Capital.
When questioned if Porcinos, La Capital’s rivals this weekend, are similar to Madrid, Yamal responded, “Yes, they rob [referring to officiating decisions]; they complain; they do things…” You can watch it here.

At just 18 years old, Yamal has consistently made bold remarks about Madrid.
He previously stated that Madrid could not “handle” Barça last season after Hansi Flick’s team staged a comeback to defeat their Clásico rivals and clinch the Copa del Rey in April.
After making waves with that comment, Yamal added a few days later, “While I’m winning, they can’t say anything — when they beat me, they can.”
Last season, Yamal scored three goals and provided two assists in four matches against Madrid, with Barça winning each encounter: two in LaLiga, and one each in the Copa del Rey and Spanish Supercopa finals.
Although his performance this season has been slightly affected by a groin injury, he has still managed to score three goals and rack up five assists in seven appearances for Barça.
