Dani Carvajal’s Recovery…

Real Madrid captain Dani Carvajal is scheduled to undergo keyhole surgery on his right knee.

The 33-year-old Spain defender experienced discomfort after playing as a substitute in the 72nd minute during Madrid’s 2-1 El Clasico win against Barcelona on Sunday. He underwent medical tests on Monday morning.

A statement from the club indicated: “Following tests conducted by the Real Madrid Medical Services, our captain, Dani Carvajal, has been diagnosed with a loose joint in his right knee.

“Carvajal will undergo arthroscopy.”

This El Clasico match marked Carvajal’s return after a calf injury he sustained during a 5-2 loss to Atletico Madrid on September 27.

Although the club did not provide a specific timeline for his recovery, sources informed ESPN that the LaLiga leaders are optimistic about having him back in action at the start of 2026.
