Barcelona midfielder Pedri is set to miss several weeks due to a left hamstring injury, as announced by the club on Wednesday.

Having played 41 consecutive competitive matches for Barça, sources indicate that Pedri will not return until after the international break.

The Spain international completed the full 90 minutes in his team’s 2-1 league defeat to Real Madrid during Sunday’s Clásico.

According to the club’s statement, “First team player Pedri has suffered a tear in the distal biceps femoris muscle in his left thigh.”

This Sunday, Barcelona will face Elche before heading into their Champions League match against Club Brugge on November 5. They also have a match scheduled against Celta Vigo before the November international break.

On a positive note for Barça coach Hansi Flick, Robert Lewandowski and Dani Olmo returned to training on Wednesday after recovering from injuries sustained during the October international window.
