Paris Saint-Germain forward Désiré Doué is set to miss several weeks due to a muscle tear in his right thigh, according to an announcement from the club on Thursday.
The injury occurred when Doué was stretchered off during the second half of the 1-1 draw against Lorient on Wednesday while competing in Ligue 1.
As defending champions, PSG is scheduled to play against Bayern Munich in the fourth round of the Champions League group stage on Tuesday, with both teams having won their first three matches.
Previously, Doué had to sit out for several weeks earlier this season due to a calf strain.
In May, he made a significant impact by scoring twice in PSG’s 5-0 victory over Inter Milan during the Champions League final.
