Cristiano Ronaldo‘s son, Cristiano Ronaldo Júnior, netted his first goal for Portugal‘s under-16 team during their 3-0 win over Wales over the weekend.
He is set to play against the England U16 team on Tuesday.
In just his second match for the U16 side, the Al Nassr academy forward started the game and scored the opening goal with a right-footed shot in the 42nd minute.
Portugal’s football federation celebrated the 15-year-old’s achievement by sharing a video of his goal on social media, captioning it with “like father, like son.”
It was a memorable day for the Ronaldo family. The senior Ronaldo, at 40 years old, scored twice in Al Nassr’s comeback 2-1 victory over Al Fayha, maintaining his team’s perfect record in the Saudi Pro League.

The Portugal captain, who converted a penalty deep in stoppage time to secure the win, has now accumulated 952 career goals.
“Scoring goals and helping the team win is always a great feeling,” said Ronaldo, who received MVP honors. “The most important thing is that we achieved victory. We are a team, and individual accolades are secondary. My goal is to win the championship! That last-minute goal? Well… today my heart raced a little faster. This is football; it’s my life. I’ve been doing this for 22 years, and it makes me happy.”
