Al Nassr and Ronaldo…

Cristiano Ronaldo played a pivotal role in helping
Al Nassr demolish Qatar’s Al Ahli SC with a score of 5-1 on Wednesday, propelling the team to the Asian Champions League Two final and bringing them closer to their first significant trophy since Ronaldo joined the Saudi club in December 2022.

The 41-year-old Portugal icon played for 78 minutes during the match. Although he did not find the back of the net, he witnessed French international
Kingsley Coman score a hat trick, leading to an impressive comeback victory in Asia’s second-tier club tournament.

Al Ahli had an opportunity to take an early lead when a penalty shot by former Germany international
Julian Draxler was thwarted by Brazilian goalkeeper
Bento.

Just four minutes later, Al Ahli took the lead as Sekou Yansane cut inside from the right flank and curled a well-placed shot into the far corner of the net.

Al Nassr quickly leveled the score, with Coman converting from close range after Angelo surged down the left wing.

Angelo then put Al Nassr ahead in the first half, calmly guiding the ball past the goalkeeper after receiving a pass from
Sadio Mané.

Just before halftime, Al Nassr extended their lead further when Coman capitalized on a loose ball to score from close range.

Coman, who joined from Bayern Munich in 2025, completed his hat trick in the 64th minute, finishing neatly after receiving a pass from Angelo.

Abdullah Al-Hamdan later added a goal to seal the comprehensive victory for Al Nassr.

Leading the Saudi Pro League with five matches left, Al Nassr will face Japan’s Gamba Osaka in the final of Champions League Two, set to take place in Riyadh on May 17.
