On Tuesday, Álvaro Arbeloa was appointed as the new head coach of Fulham, following his departure from Real Madrid at the conclusion of last season.
He has signed a three-year deal at Craven Cottage.
Arbeloa takes over from Marco Silva, who has returned to his home country to manage Benfica.

Silva previously replaced José Mourinho at Benfica, who has now returned to Madrid to fill the void left by Arbeloa.
“Álvaro was an initial candidate who made a compelling case for himself during our discussions in June. It became clear that he was the right fit for the Head Coach position,” said Fulham owner Shahid Khan in a press statement.
“I am thrilled that Álvaro has taken on the challenge to advance Fulham, and I am confident that our squad, staff, and fans will appreciate what his appointment signifies for the club’s current and future success.”
Arbeloa took over at Madrid in January after Xabi Alonso was dismissed, but the club endured a second straight season without silverware.
The former Spain international, who played for Liverpool during his time in the Premier League, is now set to lead Fulham from the dugout.
“It is a tremendous honor for me to be starting this new chapter with Fulham FC, the oldest club in London,” Arbeloa stated.
“I feel a strong sense of responsibility and I am extremely grateful to Mr. Khan and [Vice Chairman and Director of Football] Tony Khan for their trust in me as I take on this role in the Premier League.”
Last season, Fulham finished in 11th place in the Premier League.
