Manchester United winger Amad Diallo playfully jabbed at an Arsenal fan following his team’s thrilling 3-2 victory at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday night.
Diallo, making his second appearance since returning to Manchester after the Africa Cup of Nations, was substituted for Noussair Mazraoui as the team aimed to secure their lead in the final moments of the match.
Despite an early setback, goals from Bryan Mbeumo and Patrick Dorgu, topped off by a late wonder goal from Matheus Cunha, ensured a victorious trip for the United supporters.
Taking to X, Diallo jested about Arsenal’s reliance on set pieces, noting that the Gunners had netted 25 goals from set pieces across competitions this season, which is the highest in Europe’s top five leagues. He quipped, “Your only hope is corner.”
Arsenal showcased their set-piece prowess once more as Mikel Merino equalized in the dying minutes with a goal from a Bukayo Saka corner, but it ultimately wasn’t enough as Michael Carrick secured another win as United’s interim manager.
