Amorim on Forest Draw:…

Ruben Amorim remarked that Manchester United‘s draw with Nottingham Forest on Saturday showcased a resilience his team lacked last season, as Amad Diallo scored a late equalizer.

United held a lead at halftime thanks to a header from Casemiro, but conceded twice within 92 seconds early in the second half, putting them behind.

Amad struck a remarkable volley to level the score at 2-2, leading Amorim to confidently state that United would have likely lost the game if it had been played during last season.

“Yes, and I’m seeking more goals, that’s how I feel,” Amorim stated.

“We lost control of the game for five minutes, and we paid for it.”

“I believe we executed some aspects well, though our energy level did decrease slightly. You can feel it when our team’s energy dips.

“In previous seasons, if we had experienced such a rough five minutes culminating in two goals against us, we would have sunk.

“Today, however, there was a different vibe. Even though we sensed we might not win, we knew we wouldn’t lose. That’s a mindset a strong team has to adopt sometimes.”

This result extends United’s unbeaten streak to four matches, while it also marks Nottingham Forest’s first Premier League point under new manager Sean Dyche.
