Arsenal Women have completed the signing of England midfielder Georgia Stanway following her exit from Bayern Munich.
The 27-year-old amassed eight trophies over four seasons in the Bundesliga after arriving from Manchester City in 2022.
She joins Arsenal on a free transfer, having decided midway through the campaign to leave Bayern at the end of her contract.
“It’s an unbelievable feeling and I’m so proud to be joining Arsenal,” Stanway said.
“This is a massive club that is driving the women’s game forward to new levels and I want to be a part of it. I want to win trophies and grow as a player, and this is the right place to do that with the backing of an incredible fanbase.”
Before moving to Bavaria, Stanway lifted the WSL title, three FA Cups and three League Cups with Manchester City.
For England, she has 33 goals in 93 caps and was pivotal in the Lionesses’ European Championship wins in 2022 and 2025.
Arsenal coach Renee Slegers said: “Georgia is a brilliant midfielder and we’re thrilled that she is an Arsenal player.”
“She will add a new dimension to our midfield, bringing experience and adding to our winning mentality. We look forward to getting down to work in pre-season with a big campaign ahead.”
