Barcelona is set to face Tom Brady’s Birmingham City in a preseason friendly at St. Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park on July 31, as confirmed by both clubs.
The Spanish champions will arrive in England on July 27 for a training camp at St. George’s Park, the English Football Association’s national football centre located in Burton upon Trent.
During their stay, they will begin their preparations for the 2026-27 season with a match against Birmingham, who compete in the Championship, the second division of English football.
NFL star Brady became a minority owner of Birmingham City in 2023 after being brought on by chairman Tom Wagner, a U.S. financier.
Since his investment, Brady has made appearances at high-profile games, including a match touted as ‘The Hollywood Derby’ against Wrexham, owned by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, in 2024.
Birmingham triumphed in that match with a score of 3-1, and David Beckham was also in attendance alongside Brady to witness the Blues’ victory at St. Andrew’s.

Barcelona and Birmingham have clashed five times in the past, including the semi-final of the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1957-58 and their final meeting in 1959-60, both of which Barcelona won. Overall, the Catalan club has achieved three victories, one draw, and one defeat in their encounters against Birmingham.
