BARCELONA, Spain — Barcelona has officially added American goalkeeper Tyler McCamey to its European-champion women’s team, the club announced on Saturday.

The 24-year-old McCamey, a graduate of Princeton University, played for Dallas Trinity FC last season, where he made 15 appearances.

Hailing from Atlanta, he will be joining a squad that features Spain’s world champion goalkeeper Cata Coll.

Barcelona secured their fourth Champions League title in six years this past May. However, ongoing financial challenges have prompted the departure of several key players recently.

Notable exits include two-time Ballon d’Or winner Alexia Putellas, defenders Mapi León and Ona Battle, along with forward Salma Paralluelo.

In addition to McCamey, the club has welcomed Dutch defender Renee van Asten from Ajax, while extending the contract of forward Caroline Graham Hansen for an additional two seasons.
