According to Eckner, many fans believe he could win the Ballon d’Or, and Bayern are actively promoting his case—sending a message to the much younger Michael Olise that moving to Real Madrid isn’t necessary to win it.
Kane’s relentless consistency in the Bundesliga has essentially matched the output Lewandowski once delivered.
Bayern lean heavily on him: they’ve neither signed a true backup nor a long-term successor. His deal expires at the end of the season, but the club is confident he’ll extend for several more years.
