Brentford in negotiations…

Brentford are negotiating with Burnley to sign winger Jaidon Anthony on a permanent deal.

The 26-year-old is keen to stay in the Premier League after Burnley’s relegation to the Championship last season.

Brentford are currently leading the chase among several top-flight clubs, with Burnley expected to seek a fee of around £20m for the English winger.

Anthony’s form last season—nine goals and four assists in 38 appearances across all competitions—has drawn significant interest.

A move to Brentford appeals to the London-born former Arsenal academy player, and Bees coach Keith Andrews views him as a strong fit for their playing style.

Brentford have already strengthened this summer by signing defender Jannik Schuster from RB Salzburg in a deal worth up to £16m including add-ons.

Anthony left Arsenal in 2016 without a senior appearance, later establishing himself at Bournemouth following loan spells with Weymouth and Leeds.

He joined Burnley on loan from Bournemouth in 2024, with the transfer made permanent last summer after promotion to the Premier League, triggering an £8m obligation to buy.

Burnley went back down after one season and open their Championship campaign against West Ham United on 16 August.

Brentford narrowly missed European qualification last season, finishing ninth on goal difference, and begin their Premier League season against Tottenham Hotspur.
