Bruno Fernandes believes that the Manchester United supporters’ wish for “new talent” will be fulfilled this summer. However, he emphasized the necessity of securing a key player like Harry Maguire during a transformative period for the club.
The year, which began with the turbulent departure of Ruben Amorim, has been positively reshaped by Michael Carrick, who has guided the Red Devils to third place and brought them close to a Champions League spot.
The club faces a decision about extending the head coach’s short-term contract as they approach what Maguire describes as a “significant summer” that requires effective recruitment.
This week, the 33-year-old defender signed a new one-year contract with the option for another season, which Fernandes wholeheartedly endorsed as the team aims to compete for a Premier League title.
