Cammy Devlin joins…

Many Rangers supporters have long urged the club to target the Premiership’s top performers, and the Ibrox board seem to be answering that call this summer.

Shankland and Devlin were standout figures for Hearts as they came within minutes of a landmark Scottish top-flight success.

Rangers have brought in both players on free transfers and have also tempted manager McInnes away from Tynecastle.

McInnes noted that he knows Cammy well and understands exactly what he will bring to Rangers.

He praised Devlin’s outstanding consistency and described him as the kind of player every manager wants in his team.

Last season, Devlin led the Premiership in tackles per 90 minutes, and among midfielders he ranked second for interceptions, second for defensive actions, and third for recoveries.

Some Rangers fans have voiced doubts about his work in possession for a side that typically dominates the ball in domestic fixtures.

However, only four Premiership midfielders completed more accurate passes per 90 minutes than Devlin last season—one of them being Rangers’ Nicolas Raskin.

McInnes added that Devlin knows the Scottish league inside out and won’t be caught off guard by what’s to come.

He said he looks forward to welcoming Cammy to Rangers and working with him again once he returns from his holiday.
