Michael Carrick has stated that he has “no concerns” regarding the uncertainty around the managerial situation at Old Trafford potentially affecting Manchester United’s season conclusion.
Under Carrick’s leadership, United has positioned itself to compete for a spot in the Champions League, winning all three matches since he took charge.
The calls for the former England midfielder to be appointed as the permanent manager have intensified following victories against Manchester City, Arsenal, and Fulham.
Nevertheless, Carrick emphasized that the uncertainty surrounding the club’s future management will not overshadow the team’s objectives for the remainder of the season.
“The players have been exceptional and fully committed,” Carrick remarked during a news conference on Thursday.
“We understand the broader context and what may lie ahead.
As players, our focus is on the tasks at hand and achieving our goals.”

“I have no concerns. The team has exceeded my expectations.
We are committed to improving and reaching our goals. We are taking small steps towards a significant conclusion to the season.”
United is set to face Tottenham at Old Trafford on Saturday before heading to West Ham on Tuesday.
With the FA Cup already out of reach, the squad will have a 12-day break after the match against West Ham before facing Everton on February 23.
The club has opted not to schedule a lucrative friendly overseas during this break.
However, Carrick mentioned that there is potential for such a game to be arranged if additional gaps in the schedule arise in March and April.
“As of now, nothing is confirmed,” Carrick noted. “We’re mindful of the schedule, and there are potential spaces we could utilize in various ways. It’s all open for discussion at the moment.”
