Casemiro Set to Depart…

Casemiro will be leaving Manchester United when his contract comes to an end at the conclusion of the season, as confirmed by the club.

The Brazilian midfielder, who joined from Real Madrid in 2022, will leave on a free transfer after United opted not to exercise an additional one-year option in his contract.

Since his £60 million ($81 million) transfer from the Bernabeu, the 33-year-old has played 146 matches, netting 21 goals.

“I will carry the spirit of Manchester United with me for the rest of my life,” Casemiro stated.

“From my very first moment stepping onto this magnificent pitch, I felt the passion of Old Trafford and the bond I now share with the supporters of this remarkable club.

“It’s not time to say farewell yet; there are still many memories to create over the next four months.

“We have much to accomplish together; my unwavering focus will remain on giving my all to help our club succeed.”

According to sources, Casemiro chose to declare his departure four months in advance to provide “clarity” regarding his situation.
