Chelsea have been drawn to face Spain’s Real Sociedad in the Women’s Champions League third qualifying round.
The Blues will host the first leg on 26 August, before travelling to Spain for the return on 2 September. After finishing third in the Women’s Super League last season, the eight-time WSL champions must overcome Sociedad to reach the league phase.
Sociedad also finished third in Liga F, ending the campaign 21 points behind champions Barcelona.
Chelsea, runners-up to Barcelona in the 2021 final, were among the seeded teams in Tuesday’s draw at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.
Elsewhere, Paris St-Germain meet Eintracht Frankfurt, Real Madrid face Ajax, two-time winners Wolfsburg play Inter Milan and Juventus take on Austria’s St Polten. WSL champions Manchester City and runners-up Arsenal are already through to the league phase, as are defending champions Barcelona.
