England goalkeeper Hannah Hampton has agreed a fresh two-year contract with Chelsea.
Her previous deal was due to run out this summer, and retaining her was seen as crucial as Chelsea look to rebound from a disappointing 2025-26 season.
Since arriving from Aston Villa in 2023, Hampton has established herself among the game’s elite and secured the Lionesses’ No.1 shirt.
Now 25, she has collected five trophies in west London and was a standout as England lifted Euro 2025.
Last year she claimed the Yashin Trophy as the world’s best goalkeeper at the Ballon d’Or, and this summer follows fellow England internationals Lucy Bronze and Aggie Beever-Jones in committing to new Chelsea terms.
“I’m really happy,” Hampton said. “Chelsea have always been my dream club to play for in England so to be able to extend for another two years is a proud moment.
“When I moved to London from the Midlands, it was my first time moving away from home and everyone at Chelsea made it feel like a home away from home and somewhere I have been able to grow, not only as a player, but as a person.
“I don’t want that journey to stop and I want to continue to grow more and learn more as a person. I know there is so much more I can achieve and so much more, we as a team, can achieve.
“I am going to do everything I can to help Chelsea get back to being as successful as we have been in the past.”
Hampton was also in the England squad that triumphed at Euro 2022 and finished runners-up at the 2023 Women’s World Cup.
She played a key role in Chelsea’s unbeaten domestic treble in 2024-25 and has won consecutive WSL Golden Glove awards.
