Chelseas Rosenior: Enzo…

Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior has announced that
Enzo Fernández has expressed regret over his remarks regarding a potential transfer to
Real Madrid. However, the midfielder will still be sidelined for Sunday’s match against
Manchester City.

In a recent interview with ESPN Argentina, following the Champions League loss to Paris Saint-Germain, Fernández raised concerns about his future at Chelsea by stating, “I’d like to live in Spain, I really like Madrid.”

While Rosenior confirmed that Fernández has apologized, he stated that the club will uphold the internal two-match suspension. He already missed the FA Cup quarterfinal against Port Vale and will not be available for the crucial
Premier League encounter this Sunday at Stamford Bridge.

“I’ve had several productive discussions with Enzo,” said Rosenior. “He’s expressed remorse to me and the club. We’ll address this further after the important match on Sunday.”

“We had a serious meeting about a serious issue. All along the way, I haven’t doubted Enzo’s character or his integrity. People do make mistakes, but the consequences must be respected,” he added.

“What I desire for Enzo is for him to progress and have a stellar career.”

Rosenior expressed hope that Fernández would play a significant role for Chelsea in the remainder of the season, but acknowledged that there are “several hurdles” he must clear to return to the starting lineup.

When questioned if Chelsea was hindering their own success by not fielding one of their top players, Rosenior responded, “Not at all. I have an excellent squad filled with talented players. It remains a challenging task to finalize the starting XI, which I must get right in the upcoming days.”

“Football is a collective sport; it’s not about individuals. It’s not a case of sabotaging ourselves.”

“There are certain values and beliefs that I hold, which this club shares, that strengthen the team when applied properly.”
