Conor Coady has officially joined Charlton Athletic on loan from Wrexham.
After moving to Wrexham from Leicester City over the summer for an undisclosed fee, Coady struggled to secure a regular spot in Phil Parkinson’s squad.
He has now signed a loan agreement with Championship side Charlton, which will last until the conclusion of the season.
The 32-year-old defender earned 10 caps for the England national team between 2020 and 2022, netting one goal, and previously captained Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.
Since Wrexham’s match against Queens Park Rangers on September 13, he hasn’t made a league start.
Parkinson expressed his well-wishes for Coady, stating, “I wish Conor all the best at Charlton. He was eager to return to first-team football, and this loan offers him a fantastic chance to do just that.”

Charlton’s manager, Nathan Jones, remarked, “We are thrilled to welcome Conor to our team. He brings immense experience, having played at the highest level and represented his country. His leadership skills are exactly what we need at this moment. We believe his experience will be invaluable as we approach the final 18 matches of the season.”
