In an effort to boost the morale and confidence of his relegation-threatened Tottenham squad, Roberto De Zerbi has turned to YouTube.
Tottenham’s ongoing struggle has seen them without a win in 15 Premier League matches, leading the team to drop into the bottom three and potentially facing a relegation to the second tier of English football for the first time since 1977.
Such a scenario would be disastrous for one of the wealthiest clubs in the world, yet De Zerbi’s belief in his players has deepened following a 2-2 draw with Brighton last weekend.
With a crucial match against Wolves on Saturday looming, De Zerbi stated: “Certainly, my words alone aren’t enough, so I’m searching for the best way to connect with every player.
“Sometimes I use video analysis, other times I share words, or even a glass of red wine or a beer. I’m not entirely sure.
“Occasionally, I focus on analysis videos, but I also consider their past performances at other clubs. For instance, (Randal) Kolo Muani is positioned as a right winger because of his experience playing there.
“If you check out Kolo Muani’s highlights on YouTube from his time at Eintracht Frankfurt, you’ll see he excelled in that role and scored many goals.
“When I’m not in my office, I seek out valuable insights to provide more information about the players, as we don’t have much time and must consider every detail to avoid relegation.

“I utilize YouTube or WyScout to explore potential solutions that best benefit the players, not myself.
“As of April 24, we have not secured a win in 2026. Do you think the players feel the weight of this? Absolutely.
“Winning a game would provide us, and them, with renewed energy, confidence, and positivity, but they are still human.”
