Dembélé triumphed at the ceremony in Paris this past September, with Yamal’s father describing the outcome as “the biggest moral damage done to a human being.”
Among the nominated players from Paris Saint-Germain are Vitinha, Achraf Hakimi, and Nuno Mendes. The Premier League is represented by players including Mohamed Salah and Cole Palmer.
For the men’s best coach award, Champions League-winning coach Luis Enrique stands out among nominees, including Arne Slot of Liverpool and Mikel Arteta, alongside Hansi Flick.
