Endrick is feeling validated after scoring the first hat trick of his career, leading Lyon to a 5-2 victory against Metz.
After struggling for playing time at Real Madrid, he opted for a loan move midway through the season, and the Brazilian forward has already made an impact, netting four goals and adding an assist in just three matches with his new club.
“That was my first-ever hat trick, and I’m truly happy,” the 19-year-old Endrick remarked after Sunday’s match. “It was an amazing game. I’m keeping the ball from this match at home; it’s a memorable day in my life.”
When reflecting on those who questioned his decision to leave Madrid and join Ligue 1 just six months before the World Cup, Endrick shared, “Playing in this league has been fantastic. It’s strong and physical, with a lot of intensity, which I enjoy.”
“Joining Lyon wasn’t a mistake. Life has always been challenging for me, but I draw strength from those who support me. This is only the beginning. People always said Lyon was a top team, and I can see that they were right.”
During his initial season with Madrid, Endrick made 22 LaLiga appearances after transferring from Palmeiras in July 2024, but he had only appeared three times for Los Blancos in all competitions this season.
Endrick sought guidance from Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti before making the move to Lyon.
“Lyon is an excellent place—I’m very fortunate and feel right at home here,” he added. “This hat trick means a lot to me as it contributes to the team’s success, and I feel like I truly belong. It’s as if God has guided me to the right place for my career. I couldn’t have imagined this moment, but here we are.”

“There’s a wonderful connection with my teammates, the fans, and the coaching staff,” he concluded. “We’re committed to working hard and already focusing on our next match.”
Lyon’s victory marked their eighth consecutive win across all competitions, positioning them fourth in Ligue 1, nine points behind league leaders Paris Saint-Germain.
