Endrick Secures Victory…

Endrick scored shortly after halftime, securing a 2-1 victory for Brazil against Egypt in their final warm-up match ahead of the World Cup.

The young striker made his mark on the game just seven minutes after being brought on as a substitute.

Brazil’s opening goal came from Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimarães, who found the bottom corner from just outside the box within the first seven minutes in Cleveland.

However, Egypt equalized just three minutes later, as Mostafa Ziko took advantage of a misplaced pass from Marquinhos, firing a shot past Alisson Becker.

Brazil, missing Neymar from their squad, faced an injury scare as defender Wesley had to leave the pitch. Brentford’s Igor Thiago also missed a good chance just before halftime.

Thiago was substituted at halftime for Endrick during a series of changes from both teams, which included the introduction of Mohamed Salah for Egypt.

Endrick quickly influenced the game, scoring off a cross from Raphinha.

Salah tried to equalize with a shot from the edge of the box, but it sailed over, and despite Egypt’s efforts to break through Brazil’s defense, they could not find another goal.

Brazil begins their World Cup journey against Morocco in New Jersey on Saturday, in a group that also features Scotland and Haiti. Meanwhile, Egypt will kick off their campaign against Belgium on June 15.
