Endricks Stunning Strike…

Endrick continued his impressive scoring streak, netting his fifth goal in five matches as Lyon defeated Laval 2-0, securing a spot in the Coupe de France quarterfinals on Wednesday.

The Brazilian striker capitalized on a loose ball near the penalty area after an impressive run from midfielder Pavel Sulc. Endrick deftly maneuvered past a defender and fired a powerful left-footed shot into the top left corner, scoring in the 80th minute.

The 19-year-old Endrick is currently on loan from Real Madrid until the season’s end, as he seeks more playing time ahead of the World Cup later this year. Brazil, under coach Carlo Ancelotti—who also managed Endrick during his breakthrough season at Madrid—looks promising.

Lyon’s second goal against second-tier side Lorient came from an own goal during stoppage time.

Lens also advanced to the last eight with a 4-2 victory over Ligue 2 leaders Troyes, featuring two goals from striker Abdallah Sima. The northern club is on track for a domestic double, battling with Paris Saint-Germain at the top of Ligue 1.

In other matches on Wednesday, Ligue 1 teams Nice and Toulouse both secured home victories.

Nice came from behind after being 2-0 down to defeat second-tier Montpellier 3-2, with a stunning curler from midfielder Sofiane Diop sealing the comeback in stoppage time.

Diop collected a corner from the left, advancing swiftly to bend a shot beautifully across the penalty area into the bottom right corner.

Toulouse edged out second-tier Amiens 1-0, courtesy of a first-half goal from striker Yann Gboho.

In an all-division matchup, Lorient triumphed over Paris FC, who had previously eliminated holders PSG, with a 2-0 victory on their home turf.

Strasbourg will face AS Monaco on Thursday, when the quarterfinal draw is also set to take place.
