Englands Toney Faces…

England striker Ivan Toney has been charged with assault following an incident at a nightclub in London.

Toney was officially charged on July 31 with assault causing actual bodily harm and is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on September 24.

The charges pertain to an event that took place on December 6, 2025, in Soho.

A representative for Toney stated, “Ivan acknowledges the charge and, while he is understandably shocked, he looks forward to the chance to clear his name in court.”

Currently, Toney plays for Al Ahli in the Saudi Pro League, but he was called up to the England World Cup squad earlier this summer. He came on as a late substitute in the 2-1 semifinal loss to Argentina as England sought an equalizer, and his only start was against France during the third-place playoff, which England won 6-4. Toney has earned 10 caps with the national team and has scored one goal.

Before his move to Saudi Arabia, Toney helped lead Brentford from the Championship to the Premier League. He has netted 36 goals in 85 appearances in the top tier and has also played for Northampton Town, Newcastle United, and Peterborough United.
