Evans Departs Man United…

Jonny Evans has stepped down from his role as Manchester United‘s head of loans and pathways after just five months in the position, according to the Press Association.

The 37-year-old retired at the end of the last season, having made 536 senior appearances, including 241 for the Red Devils during two separate spells, and earned 107 caps for Northern Ireland.

Evans took on the role of head of loans and pathways at United in June but has decided to leave in order to spend more time with his family.

His departure was amicable, and the former defender plans to take some time before determining his next steps.

He was nearing completion of his UEFA A Licence before assuming his role at United, which suggests there may be a potential coaching career ahead for the former Northern Ireland captain.

During his time at United, Evans won the UEFA Champions League, three Premier League titles, the FA Cup, and two League Cups.
