The agent of Enzo Fernández has confirmed that the midfielder is considering leaving Chelsea this summer.
According to a report from ESPN on May 29, Chelsea is expected to seek around £120 million ($160 million) if Fernández attempts to push for a transfer.
Sources indicate that Chelsea anticipates he will return for pre-season training after a break following Argentina’s involvement in the World Cup.
However, Javier Pastore has raised questions about Fernández’s future, particularly when asked by the Spanish outlet Marca if he sees the 25-year-old joining Real Madrid.
“Currently, he is focused on the national team as he competes in the World Cup, with upcoming matches in sight,” Pastore stated. “While we are looking at opportunities to leave Chelsea, there are no firm or confirmed offers from any club.”
Fernández’s contract with Chelsea runs until 2032, and the club is not keen on losing such a pivotal player, having contributed 19 goals and 17 assists in 117 Premier League appearances since his transfer from Benfica for £107 million in February 2023.
He was sidelined for two matches last season following his admissions in an interview during the March international break that he “really likes Madrid,” a remark that Pastore criticized at the time.
Regarding Fernández’s comments about Madrid, Pastore added: “He has many friends there, including his close friendship with Julián Álvarez. Whenever they have the chance, they spend time together.”

“Additionally, I reside in Madrid. Whenever he visits, it’s often to see me and to handle work-related matters, but who wouldn’t appreciate Madrid? I’ve never even played there. I just happen to live there.”
Pastore’s remarks follow the recent announcement of Xabi Alonso officially taking over as Chelsea’s new manager. Sources have also indicated that Chelsea is working to secure Granit Xhaka from Sunderland and plans to submit a better offer after an initial £8 million bid was declined.
