Fiorentina negotiating…

Fiorentina are negotiating with Manchester United over an initial loan for forward Joshua Zirkzee.

The Netherlands international is available to leave Old Trafford this summer and has drawn interest from clubs across Europe.

Talks centre on a loan until the end of the season with an option to make the move permanent next summer.

Zirkzee, who has three years remaining on his contract, is open to joining the Serie A side.

While a deal is not thought to be close yet, there is optimism an agreement can be reached before the 1 September transfer deadline.

United signed Zirkzee from Bologna for £36.5m in 2024 after he was named Serie A’s Under-23 player of the season for 2023-24, and he scored on his debut in a 1-0 win against Fulham.

He has since struggled to become a regular starter, making 27 starts in 75 appearances across two seasons.

The 25-year-old made only five Premier League starts in 2025-26 and has scored nine goals in all competitions for United.
