Bournemouth’s Spanish defender Alex Jimenez has joined Fiorentina on a season-long loan.
The agreement includes a €20m (£17m) option to buy and allows him to keep playing while Bournemouth’s suspension remains in place pending an investigation into social media allegations.
The 21-year-old was removed from the first-team squad in May over what the club called a serious issue related to posts shared online.
Bournemouth said they wish Jimenez success for the upcoming season with Fiorentina.
Jimenez initially arrived from AC Milan on loan before making the move permanent in February on a contract running to 2031.
The Spain Under-21 international played 32 times for Bournemouth last season, scoring once.
