Jadon Sancho, currently a free agent, is thought to prefer a move overseas despite interest from Premier League sides.
The 26-year-old winger is weighing his options six weeks after his Manchester United contract expired.
Borussia Dortmund, for whom Sancho has made 158 appearances across two spells, are understood to be among those interested.
Sancho, who cost United £73m upon his 2021 move from Dortmund, is said to favour a switch away from England but remains open to all possibilities.
He spent last season on loan at Aston Villa, making 39 appearances as Unai Emery’s side secured Champions League qualification and enjoyed Europa League success — coming on as a late substitute in the win over Freiburg, his third European final in three seasons.
The England international spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Chelsea, making 41 appearances.
That agreement included an obligation to buy, but the west London club paid a £5m penalty to return him to Manchester United.
Sancho has been training with non-league Flixton to maintain fitness ahead of the new season.
