MADRID — Sunday’s second-division soccer match in Spain erupted into chaos after Zaragoza’s goalkeeper, Esteban Andrada, landed a punch on Huesca defender Jorge Pulido.
During the confrontation, Huesca’s goalkeeper, Dani Jiménez, was also shown a red card for retaliating against Andrada.
The incident occurred in the match’s closing minutes when Andrada shoved Pulido to the ground as he approached the Argentine shot-stopper. After receiving a second yellow card for the foul, Andrada pursued Pulido and struck him with a powerful right hook.

The incident escalated further as players and staff from both teams joined in the fray. Amid the chaos, Jiménez sprinted in and struck Andrada from behind.
Additionally, Zaragoza’s Dani Tasende received a red card during the incident.
Huesca ultimately clinched a 1-0 victory. Both teams currently find themselves in a precarious situation near the bottom of the second-division standings as they fight to avoid relegation.
