Gotham FC Signs U.S. U20…

American forward Jordynn Dudley, who won two NCAA championships with Florida State University, has officially signed with Gotham FC.

Dudley’s contract with the 2025 NWSL and Concacaf champions extends through 2028, and she is currently in London as the team prepares for the inaugural FIFA Women’s Champions Cup.

During her collegiate career, Dudley was named an All-American for three consecutive years, a first for any FSU player.

At 21, Dudley recently announced her decision to go professional, opting to forfeit her last year of collegiate eligibility.

She is considered one of the most highly regarded college prospects in this year’s draft class.

The NWSL has eliminated its draft system following a new collective bargaining agreement ratified in 2024, enabling college players to select their teams freely.

“I am thrilled to be joining a championship-level organization like Gotham FC, known for its successful history,” Dudley stated. “I’m eager to develop in this environment and look forward to competing with such an amazing team.”

“Thank you to Yael Averbuch West, Juan Carlos Amorós, and everyone at Gotham for this opportunity. Let’s go Gotham!”

Throughout her time at FSU, Dudley netted 34 goals over three seasons and was a finalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy in 2025, awarded to the best player in college soccer.

“Jordynn is a dynamic attacker who has demonstrated the ability to significantly influence games,” said Yael Averbuch West, general manager and head of soccer operations for Gotham FC. “We are excited to welcome her to our attacking lineup and look forward to supporting her development as a professional.”

Dudley has also excelled on the youth international stage for the United States, playing a key role in securing a bronze medal at the U-20 World Cup in 2024.

Last year, she participated in the USWNT “Futures Camp,” where senior head coach Emma Hayes evaluated potential talent for future tournaments.

Gotham clinched the 2025 NWSL Championship in November, marking their second league title in a span of three years.

Additionally, Gotham is the inaugural champion of Concacaf’s regional championship, which qualified them for FIFA’s inaugural Women’s Club World Cup set for 2028.

The team is slated to compete in the semifinals of the second installment of the Concacaf tournament in May.

In the semifinals of FIFA’s Champions Cup, Gotham will go up against South American champions Corinthians on Wednesday. The victor will proceed to face either Arsenal or Morocco’s ASFAR in the final.
