Gravenberch pens long

Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has officially signed a new long-term contract with the club, as announced by the Premier League team.

The 23-year-old moved to the Reds from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023 and emerged as a key player contributing to Arne Slot’s squad, which secured the Premier League title last season. Sources indicate he has signed a six-year contract that will extend through the end of the 2031-32 season.

Although the Netherlands international has faced challenges in maintaining his exceptional performance from the previous season, those within Anfield believe that his best years are yet to come.

Gravenberch is among several crucial players Liverpool is eager to secure with new contracts, with ongoing discussions with fellow midfielders Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister.

“I feel really, really good. I was very proud to extend my contract with such a prestigious club. I’m genuinely happy to stay for many more years,” Gravenberch expressed.

“I immediately sensed the club’s trust, particularly from the manager. The decision was easy for me to make. My family is also content here.

“We have been here almost three years now, so I know everything pretty well. I’m delighted to be here.”
