Erling Haaland has been awarded the Premier League Player of the Month title for September.
The Manchester City forward earned this recognition after an outstanding month, scoring five goals to secure his place at the top of the league’s scoring charts.
He kicked off September with a bang, netting two goals in a 3-0 win against local rivals Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium.
A week later, he found the back of the net once again in a hard-fought draw with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Haaland concluded the month with a late brace and an assist against Burnley, helping City clinch a dominant 5-1 victory.
This impressive performance throughout September propelled Haaland into City’s top 10 all-time leading goalscorers, bringing his total to 133 goals for the club. With 93 goals in the Premier League, he is on track to surpass Alan Shearer as the fastest player to reach 100.
The Norwegian star adds another Player of the Month accolade to his achievements, having previously won in August 2022, April 2023, and August 2024. He triumphed over other contenders including Daichi Kamada, Yankuba Minteh, Robin Roefs, Granit Xhaka, and Martín Zubimendi.

“September was a crucial month for us as a team. We played some fantastic football, remained unbeaten, and secured significant victories for our fans. I’m happy to contribute with goals and performances.”
“We just need to keep pushing forward — working hard every day, because we have a challenging schedule ahead following the international break. Hopefully, we can maintain our level and win even more matches.”
