Harry Kane expressed on Tuesday his willingness to discuss a contract extension with Bayern Munich, stating that he has no intention to leave the club.
The former Tottenham striker currently has a contract with the Bundesliga side that runs until the summer of 2027. Recently, he has been the subject of transfer rumors linking him to Barcelona as well as speculation about a possible return to the Premier League.
Kane returns to familiar ground this week as Bayern faces Arsenal in a highly anticipated Champions League clash in north London. Ahead of the match, the England captain reaffirmed his happiness in Munich.

“Making the move here has been one of the best decisions of my life,” said the 32-year-old, who transferred to Bayern from Spurs in 2023.
“Experiencing a new league and joining a team like Bayern Munich, along with the thrilling European nights and the lively atmosphere in the German league, has significantly progressed my career and helped me grow as a player.”
“I’m definitely open to staying longer. Given our current form and the way we are playing, I believe we are one of the top teams in Europe.”
“I don’t have my eyes set on any other club; I am truly satisfied here. There are still 18 months left on my contract, and I expect there will be talks in the future.”
Kane also commented that the Premier League is “less enjoyable” this season due to the emphasis on set-pieces, a trend that Arsenal has been leading.
“Honestly, watching the Premier League has become somewhat less enjoyable compared to recent years,” he noted.
“However, that’s just part of the evolution of football. Sometimes trends change, and this is one of those years. Arsenal have taken advantage of this and have become a formidable set-piece team.”
“We’ve analyzed their strengths and threats, considering how we can counteract them. The best way to negate their set-pieces is to avoid conceding them.”
Kane also revealed that scoring against Arsenal brings him “a bit more joy” than striking against any other club.
He has found the net 15 times in 21 encounters with the Gunners, including a goal for Bayern at the Emirates during the first leg of their quarter-final in 2024.
“Perhaps that’s the case subconsciously. Given my time at Tottenham, it was always a significant match,” he remarked.
“I have many friends who support both Arsenal and Tottenham, creating a unique atmosphere around the fixture.”
“With Bayern, the encounters are less frequent; we played them a couple of years back in the quarter-final, which we won decisively.”
“In my view, perhaps it brings me a bit more happiness scoring against them, but ultimately, winning the match is what matters most.”
