Hearts have struck an agreement to sign Forest Green Rovers captain Laurent Mendy.
The Tynecastle club have pursued the midfielder across the last two transfer windows, having seen a January offer rejected.
A deal is now in place for the 29-year-old, French-born Mendy, who is set to become Hearts’ 10th addition of the summer.
Mendy joined Forest Green from Macclesfield in 2025 and made 47 appearances last season for the English National League side.
Discussions over personal terms are ongoing as Hearts prepare for Tuesday’s Champions League second-round qualifier first leg against Sturm Graz (19:30 BST).
