Inter Miami CF has forged a partnership with Brazilian financial services firm Nu, granting them the naming rights for the club’s new stadium located near Miami International Airport.
The upcoming Nu Stadium, which will seat 26,700 fans, is currently under construction and is set to host its inaugural match on April 4.
The details of the announcement made on Wednesday were not disclosed, except that it is a multiyear agreement.
Starting in August, Nu’s logo will be featured on Inter Miami’s jerseys, the team confirmed.
Inter Miami’s jerseys, boosted by the significant global fanbase of Lionel Messi, are among the top sellers worldwide.
Nu, a digital-first bank with 131 million customers in Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia, is also making strides in the U.S. market. Earlier this year, they partnered with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 team.
