In a move prompted by a string of poor performances, Juventus has parted ways with head coach Igor Tudor following three consecutive defeats and an eight-match winless streak.
The 47-year-old was appointed in March and led the team to a fourth-place finish in Serie A, which earned him a contract extension through June 2027 during the summer. However, the team’s disappointing start to the current season has left them in eighth place in the league, struggling with eight games without a win and failing to score in their last four matches.
Tudor’s final match in charge was a 1-0 loss to Lazio on Sunday.
Juventus announced Tudor’s dismissal on Monday, stating that Massimo Brambilla, currently the coach of Juventus Next Gen in Serie C, will temporarily take over for the first team ahead of their upcoming match against Udinese.

A statement from the club read: “Juventus announces the termination of Igor Tudor’s contract as head coach of the men’s first team, along with his staff, Ivan Javorcic, Tomislav Rogic, and Riccardo Ragnacci.” The club expressed gratitude to Tudor and his team for their professionalism and wished them well in their future endeavors.
Tudor was brought on to replace Thiago Motta and was initially contracted through the end of the season, including participation in the Club World Cup scheduled in the United States. His extension in June followed a successful run that secured Juventus a Champions League spot with five wins in nine Serie A games.
A former player for Juventus from 1998 to 2007, Tudor has also managed Udinese, Hellas Verona, and Lazio in the Italian league. Additionally, he served as an assistant coach to Andrea Pirlo at Juventus during the 2020-2021 season, where both Tudor and Pirlo were let go at the conclusion of that season.
