Kane Injury Threatens…

Harry Kane will sit out Bayern Munich‘s match against Borussia Monchengladbach on Friday due to a calf injury. This setback comes as he aims to break the Bundesliga record for the most goals in a season.

Bayern’s head coach, Vincent Kompany, stated on Thursday that the injury isn’t serious; however, Kane will not be able to participate in the game. A victory could allow Bayern to extend their lead to 14 points atop the standings.

“He received a knock on his calf and hasn’t fully recovered yet,” Kompany mentioned. “It’s nothing major at the moment, but we may need another day before he’s ready to play. We’re quite relaxed about it. Naturally, we would have preferred Harry to be on the field, but these situations arise.”

Kompany also expressed confidence that Kane would be fit for Bayern’s upcoming match against Atalanta in the Champions League round of 16 next week.

Kane has netted 30 goals in the Bundesliga this season, leaving him 11 goals shy of Robert Lewandowski‘s record of 41, with only 10 games left to play.
