In a remarkable display of goal-scoring prowess, Harry Kane has surpassed a notable milestone previously held by Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Kane found the net during Bayern Munich’s 4-0 victory over Club Brugge in the Champions League on Wednesday, scoring with a close-range tap-in just 14 minutes into the match.
This goal marked Kane’s 20th of the season across all competitions, achieved faster than either Messi or Ronaldo had ever done.
In his first 12 appearances for Bayern and the England national team this season, Kane has netted 20 goals.
Messi hit the 20-goal mark in his first 17 matches on three occasions, while Ronaldo achieved this feat in his first 13 matches of the 2014-2015 season.
Kane’s exceptional scoring ability could also lead him to break an English record in the Champions League.
Currently, Wayne Rooney stands as the only English player to score 25 Champions League goals for a single club (Manchester United), but Kane is just two goals away from surpassing this record.
He previously scored 21 Champions League goals while with Tottenham.
As he embarks on his third season with Bayern, Kane continues to break records with every match.
In his next Champions League appearance, he has the opportunity to match Robert Lewandowski, who also scored 25 goals in his first 29 games for Bayern.
Having already achieved 100 goals for Bayern in all competitions, Kane reached this milestone quicker than any player in Europe’s top five leagues.
He also recently scored his 400th career goal against Borussia Dortmund.

For England, Kane has also set a new record for the most goals scored while representing a foreign club, totaling 18 goals as a Bayern player following his recent strike against Latvia. This surpasses Gary Lineker’s previous record of 17 goals while playing for Barcelona.
Bayern secured a comfortable win on Wednesday against Club Brugge, with 17-year-old Lennart Karl scoring the opener.
Kane followed shortly thereafter, then former Liverpool player Luis Díaz added a third before Nicolas Jackson, on loan from Chelsea, came off the bench to score the fourth.
