Kobbie Mainoo Signs New…

Kobbie Mainoo has officially extended his contract with Manchester United, as confirmed by the club.

The midfielder’s new deal will keep him at Old Trafford until 2031, extending his previous contract, which was set to expire in 2027.

This new agreement signifies a remarkable turnaround for the 21-year-old since Michael Carrick took over as manager in January.

After experiencing a dip in form under former coach Ruben Amorim and even requesting a loan move last summer, Mainoo has thrived since Amorim’s exit. Having joined United as a six-year-old, he has now started 12 of the 13 matches under Carrick’s management.

His impressive performances have played a key role in lifting United to third place in the Premier League, leading to his recall for the England team in March, just ahead of the World Cup hosted in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

In response to the announcement of his long-term contract, Mainoo stated, “Manchester United has always been my home; this amazing club means everything to my family.”

“I have seen how much our club impacts our city and I embrace the responsibility that comes with wearing this shirt. It’s a privilege to live my dream every day, with the same drive to succeed that I had since my first training session at six.”

“We can all feel the momentum building within the club, and I am eager to play my part in helping Manchester United consistently compete for major trophies in the years to come.”
